Mike Hadaller was born on January 16, 1964, and was raised in the small logging community of Ethel, Washington by his parents, Dennis and Shirley Hadaller. The Hadaller family has deep roots in Lewis County dating back to 1889, and Mike has spent his entire life surrounded by the values of hard work, family, and community.

Mike attended school locally, spending most of his school years in Onalaska before graduating from Mossyrock High School. It was during those years that he first met Vonda. Though life eventually took them in separate directions as adults, they later found their way back to one another and built a life together rooted in the place they both love most — Lewis County.

Today, Mike and Vonda are proud longtime Lewis County residents, raising cattle and caring for their acreage along Highway 12. Their life reflects the values Mike believes in deeply: hard work, responsibility, faith in community, and preserving the rural way of life that makes Lewis County special.

From a young age, Mike worked in hay fields and in the family shop before following in his father’s footsteps into the logging industry after high school. Starting as a choker setter, he worked his way up through determination and grit, eventually running shovel operations and managing tower sites for Dennis Hadaller Logging by the age of 23.

Over the years, Mike has worked in many areas of the logging industry and owned several businesses, giving him firsthand experience with the challenges facing working families, small businesses, and rural communities. Those experiences shaped his belief in responsible government, accountability, and standing up for the people who keep Lewis County running.

Mike currently serves on the Lewis County PUD Board of Commissioners, where he has focused on improving efficiency, reducing wasteful spending, and keeping promises made to the community. His hands-on leadership style and willingness to learn have helped bring accountability and practical solutions to the PUD.

But above all, Mike cares deeply about the community he calls home. Whether it’s supporting local projects, improving county services, or simply listening to neighbors’ concerns, he believes leadership starts with being present and connected to the people you serve.

“I love Lewis County. These are my classmates, my friends, my friends’ kids, and my family. I will represent all people, no matter your political choice or financial situation. Together, we can preserve what makes Lewis County such a special place to live.”
